Sholing FC have completed the double signing of strikers, Lee Wort & Zach Glasspool.  

Manager, Dave Diaper, said : "I am pleased to announce the signings of Lee & Zach and both players will feature in our away match at Horndean on Thursday night (kick off 7.45)." "It will be good to see Lee back in a Sholing shirt as the last time he had it on was at our Vase Final win at Wembley in 2014"

Dave continued to say, "Zach is also a quality player, who when playing against us in the past, has caused our defenders problems with his movement and superb link-up play." "The signings of these two quality forwards will hopefully put to an end rumours that I am quitting the Club at the end of the season and it also shows our intent and commitment to our 3 year plan"

Following Lee Wort recently leaving Gosport Borough, Sholing were quick to snap up the 24 year old, who first started at the club when just 15. Lee scored goals for fun for Sholing Youth and Reserve sides and continued doing so when promoted to the First team, both in the Southern League South & Wessex Premier.  In his last season at Sholing, he bagged 49 goals and and on his return to the club he said; "I chose to join Sholing for the remainder of the season as it gives me the opportunity to play with mates who I grew up with and enjoying playing football with and also to keep myself fit"

Bitterne boy, Zach Glasspool (pictured here with Stu Hussey & Dave Diaper) is a prolific striker who we have signed on contract until the end of the 2016/17 season. Zach said; "I'm looking forward to the new challenge, hopefully we can finish the season really strong and then have a go at the league and the cups next season."

At 27 years old, he's in his prime and the younger forwards at the club will no doubt benefit from his experience. Zach's scoring record is as impressive as Worty's, having smashed 77 goals in 3 seasons in the Wessex Premier for Alresford Town & Winchester City where at both clubs he struck up a formidable partnership with Warren Bentley.
