The quiz is the first quiz being held by Sholing Pan-Disability Football Team. All proceeds for to the team, towards entry fees for tournaments, equipment and providing opportunities that aren't always available to young, disabled adults.

These adults are a big part of not only my working life, but my social life! I spend a lot of man hours trying to find ways to provide opportunities to these guys because they are worth it! I work my normal 40 hour job during the week and spend just as long working out ways to fund raise and plan sessions for these incredible adults.

The past two tournaments we have played this season, Sholing Pan-Disability Football Team have been unbeaten. The guys put in so much hard work on and off the pitch, and it really shows! They are worth every penny that you donate!

There is a lot of stipulation around Disability Football, but it really isn't what you think. It is far more competitive than you may think, the skill and ability of football is alot higher than you may believe! Our next tournament that we are playing, is on the 26th of January 2020. These are held at Toynbee School. 09:00 - 11:30. We welcome all supporters, even if you come just to check out what we are about! - Mark Carter, Secretary, Sholing Pan Disability Section

20 July - Kevin Brewster moves on

"Brewy" has left the Boatmen to play his football this season at Follands Sports.  Everyone is very sad to see a true club legend move on, but Kevin will still be a big part of the club and his Soccer Schools will continue every Saturday morning and during school holidays.  Brewy played 486 times for VT/Sholing, with probably as many assists and also a large number of wordly freekicks as well.  Kevin had this to say on Facebook:

I just wanted to Thank everyone at Sholing FC for all you have done for me over my many years. There are soo many memories that will stick with me forever. From winning leagues, cups the FA Vase campaign in 2014 to what the club did in memory of my late dad Derek, I will always feel part of the Sholing FC family.

Thank you to the Fans for singing my song and cheering us on. And to all the players I have played with throughout my years and brought us so much success both on and off the pitch. And to Diapes for signing me all those years ago and helping us achieve what we have.

I’m getting very close to retirement but wish the lads Good luck in the new league this season and hope that the club achieves the best it can.

Love you all and See you all soon! Uptheboatmen!, Brewy x

Club would also like to place on record it's thanks to both Pete Castle & Jack Smith for their service to the Boatmen.  "Pistol" made 201 appearances and was part of the Vase winning side.  We wish him all the best on joining his father & brother at Hamble Club FC.  Jack made 135 appearances for Sholing and it would definitely have been many more if it wasn't for some unfortunate injury lay-offs.  Good luck to "Jacky" in the future.

28 June - Season Ticket Prices for 2019/20

Find below our season ticket and matchday admission prices for the new season!  Following our promotion to the Southern League, there is a modest increase in prices to reflect the additional costs we incur being a Step 4 club, including much more travelling.  However, we have kept the increases to a minimum and we will be one of the cheapest places to watch football in the South at Step 4 level.  We have also kept our Concession list the same as previous seasons, so those aged 60 and over will qualify for reduced prices. Also in the concession bracket are Students and the disabled.  ST holders will also receive a £1 discount off home Cup matchday admission.

Taking advantage of our early bird offer will save an adult £42 over the course of a full season of 19 home league games.  It's a £20 saving for Concessions.
