Sholing Development 4-0 Totton & Eling Reserves

Date: Tuesday 4th April 2017 - John Stimpson Memorial Shield Quarter Final

Sholing Development put out a strong squad as they progressed into the semi Finals of the John Stimpson Memorial Shield, following a convincing 4-0 win over Totton and Ealing Reserves at the Universal Stadium.

A spirited and hard working performance by the whole team, not only stopped Totton and Ealing from having any shot on goal, but they also won the midfield and forward battles as well.

Captained by the excellent Owen Royl and with strong performances by Marlon Mason, Luke Bergg, Kieran Winman and Nick Yeomans, Sholing dominated the game and had more chances to add to the score as the game went on, especially as the Totton and Ealing defence couldn't handle the pace of substitutes Jean-Luc Ramadin and TK Madzvamutse.

Goals by Kieran Winman, Nick Yeomans and Joel Gosh put Sholing in a comfortable position before Jean-Luc had a goal disallowed late on, he then had an even better shot superbly saved by Tom Evans before TK made it 4-0.

MOTM for a dominating midfield display: Joel Ghosh
