Boatmen won a 7 goal thriller, twice coming from behind to claim the points, with Byron Mason scoring the winner with his 100th goal for the club.  Lee Wort, Owen Roundell and Dan Mason also found the net as Sholing turn it around from both 2-0 & 3-2 down to move into the top 10 for the first time this season.

Team News: TJ, Brad, Bulpitt & Nicholas were unavailable, but Lee Wort returned to the squad.

Game started very end to end and was to continue to be so for the most of the match.  After Paulton had hit the side netting, Lee Wort and then Dan Mason were denied by the home keeper.  Paulton took the lead on 11 mins when a cross by Butcher was thumped in by Braedan Symes.

The home side doubled their lead on the half hour mark when Ben Bament disappossed Gosney and had the awareness to chip the ball back over the keeper's head and into the net.  Boatmen got back into the game straight from the restart, Marv headed a cross back into the danger area with a Paulton defender heading the ball out of his own keeper's hands where it fell to LEE WORT to nod in at the far post into an empty net.

Gosney saved well from Burgess before Jake Hoole was denied by Sainsbury, but right on the stroke of half time, Sholing were level.  A corner was swung in and met by OWEN ROUNDELL whose header squeezed past defenders on the line to bring an entertaining half to an end.  HT 2-2

Paulton reclaimed the lead, almost immediately from the restart as a Gosney clearance went as far as Burgess, who fed Ben Bament and he matched his earlier goal by chipping the ball once again over the exposed keeper.   The game then entered a scrappy spell with a number of freekicks and stoppages and the ref taking centre stage, although the Boatmen were still pressing forward and saw an effort cleared off the line.

Boatmen equalised on 75 minutes when James Lauder's deep pass found DAN MASON on the edge of the box, who controlled and shot on the half volley to drill the ball inside the near post for his 20th goal of the season.  3 minutes later and the turn around was complete.  BYRON MASON had been on 99 career goals for the club since early September, but picked the perfect moment to score his 100th, two days after his Birthday as well.  Stu Green's whipped in corner saw Byron rise above everyone to bullet in a header.

Paulton were left to try long shots to get try to get something from the game, but Gosney was able to deal with them all.  Boatmen might have extended their lead with a long shot of their own, as Lee Wort cut on his left and let off a rocket that crashed off the crossbar.   Despite almost 7 minutes of added time, Sholing emerged as winners to make it 6 unbeaten in the league and move into the top 10 for the first time this season.  A superb comeback and a great way for the skipper to mark his century of goals for the club.  FT 3-4
