Sholing came from behind to complete the double over Baffins, with Dan Mason getting a brace on his 300th appearance for the Boatmen.

It was our first ever visit to the Portsmouth based club and the home side got off to a flyer, taking the lead inside two minutes. Baffins captain, Blu Boam had a shot saved by Gosney, but Jordan Neal scored from the rebound.

In the words of two goal DAN MASON, this is how Sholing turned the game around...

"For the equaliser on 12 mins, play started down the left, Marv got 1 on 1 with his player, shifted it past him and curled in a lovely cross to LEE WORT whose header was saved by the keeper, but Worty prodded in the rebound. Marv could have had a penalty before half time, but ref said no."  HT 1-1

"My first goal and our second (on 52 mins) came from a corner. Alex Sawyer went deep, Dan Miller headed it back across goal and I come running in, nodding it from 6 yards into the corner."

"The 3rd (on 64 mins) came from a great move down the left, playing triangles around Baffins. The ball popped into Sawyer who had his man pinned on the edge of the box, he flicked the ball into my path as I was breaking past him.  I evaded the 2 defenders to roll the ball past the keeper and right into the bottom corner."

D-Dan's two goals, means he's now scored an incredible 102 in his last 139 games in all competitions. The win extends Sholing's unbeaten league run to 11 games and moves us a little closer to the top two. FT 1-3
