12 Oct - Sholing Whites 13-0 Soccer 4 all Tigers. Goal scorers: Lewis Amos 3, Ben Beadle 3, Finley Lintott-Warrillow 3, Reece Kempton 2, Max Davis 1, Lewis Evans 1.

David vs Goliath - You had to feel sorry for a spirited Tigers side who never gave up. Ben Daglish called in at right back this week gave a superb performance swinging in many great corners and crosses as well as some good link up play from the back. A first half hatrick from last weeks Man of the match Ben Beadle grabbing his first goals of the season was another highlight. But not to be outdone Finley LW continued his feat of scoring in every game so far and bagged himself a hatrick making it 11 for the season in 5. Skipper Reece Kempton is fitting in well into his new central midfield role alongside Jack Miles who went close on numerous occasions today and Reece added two more to the tally. Lewis Evans took a turn in goal after notching a goal to the team total. Lewis Amos swapped gloves for a place on pitch and scored his first ever goal after following up his header which had been saved. Lewis then added two more for a hatrick inside 20 mins which saw him given todays Man of the Match. Dan Gregory and Adam French were as solid as usual and both moved up into midfield in the second half. Max Davis grabbed another making him second top scorer.  Happy birthday to Dan and Adam my backs killing after giving you two the bumps. Well done lads.

5 Oct -  Wyvern Saints FC 2-6 Sholing Whites FC - Goal scorers : Finley Lintott-Warrillow 2, Max Davis 2, Reece Kempton 1 & Lewis Evans 1 - Man of the Match : Ben Beadle

Cries of Ole, Ole, rang out today at Chamberlain Leisure Centre as Sholing Whites produced an attacking master class the likes of Real Madrid fans would pay good money to watch. Having gone behind to an early goal the team didn't let their heads drop and quickly drew level after a great finish by Max Davis. Another bright note was a fine performance by Ben Daglish in goal thwarting several attacks by Wyvern with great anticipation coming off his line. Both teams played some really great football never just playing long and always building from the back , and it was through this quick passing football that Sholing extended their lead with Finley Lintott-Warrillow who has already surpassed last seasons goal tally by making it 2 . With the help of some superb defending performances Sholings strike force extended their lead to 3 this time with another great strike from Max Davis. HT 1-3

After a great first half the team could of easily sat back but they came out quick and with some great link up play from Man of the Match Striker Ben Beadle (Tipper) and Sholing soon capitalised this time it was Reece Kempton scoring his first league goal for the club in over a year. The evolving partnership of skipper Reece Kempton and midfield dynamo Jack Miles was another positive on the day. At 4-1 the game was all but over and after making a couple of subs which saw Lewis Evans introduced upfront and Lewis Amos in Goal (due to injuries ) Sholing further extended the lead to 5-1 this time it was another goal from Finley Lintott-Warrillow headed top corner which further highlighted his great start to the season. At 5-1 Sholing again proved their dominance of the game and another  goal this time for Lewis Evans which he calmly slotted passed the on rushing keeper. With the game all but over and after one final change saw Daniel Gregory coming off only to allow the Wyvern centre forward out off his pocket to duly score his second. The Sholing defence of Dan Gregory, Alfie Markham and Adam French yet again proved they were a solid unit. FT 2-6

Another great team performance from the Sholing Boys, long may it continue!

29 Sept - Sholing Whites 2-0 City Central - Goal scorer & Man of the Match : Finley Lintott-Warrillow

Sholing Whites picked up their 3rd win of the season thanks to two great second half strikes from Finley Lintott-Warrillow.

The first half was a real scrappy affair with both teams creating few chances and with a low sun and long grass, condition's where definitely against Sholing playing their normal free flowing passing football. City Central also played their part regularly breaking up play and creating the clearer of chances, but they were met with another great performance from Ben Daglish in goal, continuing on the great form he displayed during last weeks game against Colden Common. HT 0-0

Second half saw the Sholing boys up the tempo and with some great quick passing as they started regularly testing the City Central keeper. Finally with only minutes left on the clock their sustained pressure was rewarded with a great volley finish from Finley Lintott-Warrillow which found the top right corner. With the Sholing players now with their tails up and after some great work from Adam French down the left side, his great through pass released Finley again this time one on one against the city central keeper which he coolly slotted bottom corner to cap off another great team performance against a tough physical City Central side. FT 2-0

22 Sept Sholing Whites 2-0 Colden Common - Goal scorers : Finley Lintott-Warrillow & Max Davies - Man of the Match : Ben Dalglish

Previous Games between Sholing and Colden Common have always been tough but fair matches and this game didn't let us down. With a Sholing team of just 9 due to injuries this was going to take 100% effort from all the boy , and they didn't disappoint.

Just minutes before kick off Max Davies was pulled from the starting line up due to feeling unwell and with no subs meant Sholing started the match with just 8 players. And what a match, straight from kick off it was end to end and even though Colden Common had an extra player the Sholing players competed for every ball and with Ben Dalglish making his debut in goal, and what a debut HT 0-0

The second half kicked off and with Max Davies feeling well enough to play Sholing started really well, attacking the spaces and looking the more likely to open the scoring and they didn't have to wait long. Sholing's positive football was rewarded with a great goal by last weeks hat trick hero Finley Lintott-Warrillow. With Sholing now in the driving seat and some great man of the match saves by Ben Dalglish, Sholing increased their lead to 2 with some brilliant play by the now fit Max Davies. FT 2-0

This game could turn out to be a hugely important season defining game and if the Sholing players continue to the level of ability and commitment what a season we are in for. Well done everyone!

14 Sept -  Sholing Whites 5-1 Botley Village Lions  Goal scorers: Lewis Evans, Max Davis, Finley Lintott-Warrillow 3 (and Man of the match)

The opening game of the season saw Sholing Whites U11 play Botley Village Lions. During a tight first half which saw both teams evenly matched Sholing eventually took the lead through the first of two fine headed goals by Finley Lintott-Warrillow. Sholing finished the half the strongest hitting both post and crossbar and dominating possession. HT 1-0

The Second half was a slightly more one sided affair, with the Sholing boys continuing from where they left of first half, confidently finding their range early on playing on a very challenging pitch, thus extending their lead to 2-0. Botley did reply early to make it 2-1 but this seemed to only fire the Sholing players to apply more pressure to the Botley defence, with Finley now on a hatrick and a poachers goal by new signing Lewis Evans Sholing finished the half the strongest. The game came to a finish with a goal of the week by Max Davis, spotting the keeper off his line to shoot from distance topping off a great display from the entire team and a very positive start to the season. FT 5-1
